A public memorial is deliberate at Oklahoma State College to honor the overdue T. Boone Pickens, who donated loads of hundreds of thousands of bucks to his alma mater all over his lifetime.
Pickens died Wednesday in Dallas at age 91. OSU says the college will honor Pickens on Sept. 25 at Gallagher-Iba Area in Stillwater.
Pickens mentioned closing month in his annual letter to Oklahoma State enthusiasts that he checked with the varsity and discovered he had donated $652 million over time, with a lot of it going to athletic amenities. The college’s stadium was once named for Pickens in 2003 after he made a $70 million donation, which incorporated $20 million put aside for a stadium growth.
A funeral carrier could also be deliberate for Sept. 19 in Dallas, the place Pickens lived.
